OMG....even things go wrong in the Pantry..
Managed to burn cous cous...how the heck? Like you turn the gas off....well seems I didn't.
My pancakes ended up a few days late...and it is because of this I thought would add this one as can be used anytime....
RECIPE FOR JUST ONE PERSON EVEN
It is just sort of a 'Yorkshire Pudding' in a fry pan with whatever food you have left chucked in.
We can all make pancakes...but here is the 'recipe' for just one person.
2 tbsp plain flour
Salt and ground black pepper
1 medium egg
3 tbsp milk
About (I used 60g/2oz cooked chicken, finely chopped)
1 spring onions, trimmed and chopped
1 tsp vegetable oil, or dripping
Put the flour into a bowl, add a pinch of salt, the egg and enough milk to make a smooth batter. Stir in the meat and spring onion and season with salt, pepper
Heat the vegetable oil, or dripping, in a small frying pan until it gets very hot, almost smoking. Pour in the batter and fry until golden brown, then turn the pancake over and brown the other side. Fold in half and serve at once
